PEACHLAND YACHT CLUB
5667 Beach Avenue
The Peachland Yacht Club has grown from humble beginnings in l958 into a busy marina in downtown Peachland with 53 moorage berths, a large activity deck, two visitor mooring slips, and a small security post. Started by a group of residents wishing to have a place to moor their boats, the club is now self-sufficient and is incorporated under the Societies Act. There are 70 miles of beautiful Okanagan Lake waterway at our doorstep, and we welcome new members to share it with us. Come and join an enthusiastic group of boaters, both sail and power, and be part of what promises to be an exciting future for the Peachland Yacht Club.
Located next to the swim bay area, the marina has card-lock entry and 24-hour security in the summer hours. Up until the fall of 2000, moorage was available for resident’s use only, but with a change of regulation by the leaseholder, the District of Peachland, moorage may now be held by non-residents. There is a three year waiting list for moorage. Boaters anticipating moving to Peachland and wanting to ensure moorage should join the club now to be placed on the wait list.
Peachland Yacht Club does not have a clubhouse. Social events of the Yacht Club include the annual Commodores Ball; barbecues held on the large activity deck; and the very popular Annual Poker Run in August. There is enough depth for most keelboats but watch your wake when entering the breakwater.
The club’s Annual General Meeting is held early in mid-June.
