Wayfinding Signage Program

Wayfinding Signage Program

District Council has given support to the implementation of a wayfinding signage program to promote business and tourism within Peachland. A package has been sent to business owners through the Peachland Chamber of Commerce which outlines the current system and rollout. The package includes an order form for signage on the base part of the program. Please find below all relevant material including the letter, PowerPoint given at Council and approved District policy that explains the current program. The idea of the program is to maintain a consistency with the current signs program administered along the highway by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI). Therefore, only International Signage symbols will be used on the gateway signs (to be located at the base of the three main corridors up the hill; Trepanier Bench Road, Ponderosa Drive and Princeton Avenue) and subsequent wayfinding signs until the last sign that directs tourists to an actual business. For any further information please email pdupuis@peachland.ca.
