Victoria Street Area Construction

Development at 5950 Victoria Street underway

Residents in the Lower Princeton/Victoria Street area will notice construction activity in their neighbourhood as the development of a 10-lot single-family subdivision at 5950 Victoria Street begins.

Onsite works include site grading and remediation, rock blasting, rock hammering, road construction and service installation. Construction is expected to continue until March 2024, weather dependent. Work will take place Monday to Friday, except statutory holidays, from 7 am to 6 pm.

The District’s Blasting Bylaw #701 requires the applicant to have a qualified and registered blasting professional conduct and monitor the blasting activity. Neighbours within 100 metres of the blasting site are provided with written notice of the start of planned blasting activities at least one day prior. Each blast will be preceded by a series of sound signals as advance warning of each blast.

Area residents are asked to use caution when travelling through the work area and are reminded the construction zone is closed to the public.
