Renfrew Road Development

The applicant of a proposed development at 6446 Renfrew Road is working with the District of Peachland staff to re-envision the development proposal. Comments have been shared with Peachland Mayor and Council by residents concerned with the development as it was proposed at a recent public information meeting.

Over the summer, inaccurate information was provided by Peachland staff to a Renfrew Road property owner regarding a proposed development application. This error was not noticed before the property owner held a public information meeting to gauge public reaction to the proposal which included a higher density development than initially anticipated. In general, the public in attendance objected to the proposal.

District staff have reached out to the property owner to apologize and will continue to work with the owner to adjust the proposed development application.

The proposed development has not yet been presented for first reading in Council, and Council was not aware of what was being proposed at the public information meeting held by the developer.
