Downtown Task Force Volunteers Needed

Calling for Volunteers for Council's Downtown Revitalization Task Force

Peachland Council is seeking volunteers to sit on a new, short-term advisory committee, the Downtown Revitalization Task Force.

Members of this project-specific Task Force will meet approximately six times beginning in February 2024 to discuss the development of the Downtown Revitalization Implementation Strategy (DRIS). The committee will consist of:
  • Mayor and two members of Council
  • one recreation and culture representative
  • one Peachland Chamber of Commerce representative
  • three downtown landowners or business owners
  • five Peachland residents
  • one District staff in a non-voting role
The Task Force will provide advice to Council and staff on the development of the DRIS which will articulate the vision, goals, and objectives for downtown Peachland with a focus on downtown form and character, land use, and the regulatory framework to guide growth and development. The DRIS will be completed by September 30, 2024.
