BOIL WATER NOTICE RESCINDED

Peachland, B.C. – The District has rescinded the precautionary BOIL WATER NOTICE for Peachland after two consecutive water sampling results confirm the system is working properly. The precautionary Boil Water Notice was prompted by a water service line rupture on May 27. To complete repairs, the District will still be closing Turner Avenue on Tuesday, June 4th. The closure of Turner Avenue, at the intersection with Princeton Avenue, is expected to last approximately 10 hours. Access to Turner Avenue from lower access roads will remain open. Detour signs will be posted.

Repairs will begin AFTER the morning school buses have completed their route.

Water service is not expected to be disrupted during the repair and the need for a boil water notice is not anticipated. Turner Ave Closed June 10 for Water Main Repairs

Peachland, B.C. – The District is closing Turner Avenue on Tuesday, June 4th to repair a water service line which ruptured on May 27.

The closure of Turner Avenue, at the intersection with Princeton Avenue, is expected to last approximately 10 hours. Repairs will begin AFTER the morning school buses have completed their route. Access to Turner Avenue from lower access roads will remain open. Detour signs will be posted.

The precautionary Boil Water Notice prompted by the May 27 break remains in place. The District awaits water sampling results and will advise residents when the repair is rescinded. A precautionary BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for all of Peachland. The District is awaiting water sampling analysis before the notice can be rescinded.

Water Break - District of Peachland

District crews have isolated the water main break which occurred on May 27 and are now working on restoring water service to the community.

Due to the depressurization of the trunk main, a precautionary boil water notice is being issued for the community of Peachland. This notice will remain in effect until two negative bacteriological samples are returned.

Precautionary Measures: Bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to using it for drinking, making ice, cooking, washing food or brushing teeth.
