Boil Water Notice Rescinded
Water Service Resumed after Victoria Street Area Water Main Break Peachland, B.C. – The District has rescinded the precautionary BOIL WATER NOTICE for Peachland after two consecutive water sampling results confirm the system is working properly. The precautionary Boil Water Notice was prompted by a water service line rupture on June 19 in the Victoria Street/Ehlers Road area. June 21, 2024 WATERMAIN REPAIR COMPLETE PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE REMAINS Update: 8:30 am The watermain break which occurred June 19 in the Victoria Street/Ehlers Road area has been repaired and the system repressurized. The first water samples have been sent for testing. As a precautionary measure and in consultation with IHA, a Boil Water Notice has been issued for all properties north of the Victoria/Ehlers location – above highway 97 (please see map). The Boil Water Notice will be removed after two consecutive samples confirm the system is working properly. Water for drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making beverages or ice, or brushing teeth should be boiled for one minute or use bottled or distilled water. Victoria Street has been reopened to motorists. - Higher elevation properties north of the impacted line will experience immediate water pressure reduction and/or loss.
- Please reduce all non-essential water use in these areas.
- The precautionary boil water notice remains in place.
