Boil Water Notice Not Required for Buchanan

Water Shutdown and Boil Water Notice NOT REQUIRED for Buchanan Area and Rescinded for Vicary Road Residents

Water tie in work on August 7 did not require a water shutdown and, therefore, a precautionary boil water notice is not required for the Buchanan Road area.

The precautionary Boil Water Notice for Vicary Road residents has been rescinded.

Water Service Disruption Notice for Buchanan Road Area

Precautionary Boil Water Notice in place beginning August 7

Peachland, B.C. – Water service will be disrupted on Wednesday, August 7 followed by a precautionary boil water notice for the following properties in the Buchanan Road area:
  • Beach Ave: 3701, 3703, 3706
  • Buchanan Rd: 5244, 5247, 5251, 5254, 5255, 5261, 5265, 5270, 5271, 5275, 5286, 5294
  • Tailyour Lane: 5284. 5286

Bennett Contracting Ltd. will conduct utility work after the August long weekend on August 7 from 9 am to 2 pm. Water service will need to be turned off while this is occurring. The shutdown will require a precautionary boil water notice once water service is resumed. The notice will be rescinded when the District receives two consecutive water sampling results which indicate the system is working normally.

To minimize the inconvenience, water customers are advised to store an adequate supply of water for drinking, cooking, household needs and sanitation or bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to drinking, making ice, cooking, washing or brushing teeth.
