Sanderson Dog Park Construction

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

UPDATED: November 14, 2024

Extremely rocky conditions have slightly delayed the construction timeline of Sanderson Dog Park and the short section of road at the end of Sanderson Avenue will remain closed to pedestrians and vehicles between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm until Thursday, November 21. After that time, work will continue to install a water service line and fountain, but the park will be open for the public use during this construction. Please use caution around the construction equipment.

Sanderson Dog Park Construction Monday

Temporary daytime road closure to allow waterline installation

Peachland, B.C. – On Monday, November 11, Con-Ex Earthworks will begin installing a new water service to Sanderson Dog Park in Peachland, prompting a temporary, daytime closure of a portion of Sanderson Avenue and the dog park.

Work is expected to be complete by November 18. While construction is underway, a short section at the end of Sanderson Avenue will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm and opened to single-lane traffic overnight.

This project is part of the $100,000 invested from the Growing Communities Fund upgrade to Sanderson Park, formalizing the dog park with fencing and water service.
