Why have an OCP?
Without an OCP, the District has little control over development and land use, cannot coordinate development with services and capital planning, cannot manage the separation of incompatible land uses and cannot protect development form locating on hazard lands. The growth of the District would be poorly planned and managed without an OCP. The OCP helps us reach out community goals and priorities through proactive decision-making and careful planning.Go Back
