Active Transportation Network Plan
The District of Peachland has received grant funding from the BC Active Transportation Grant Program to develop an Active Transportation Network Plan (ATNP) that will shape the future of how we walk, roll and cycle in Peachland.
During the Summer of 2022, we’ve been gathering input to better understand our community’s active transportation values, priorities and where there are opportunities for improvement. Online and printed community surveys and an interactive map were used to gather feedback from the community, and over 210 individual survey responses were received. Several community members also visited our pop-up booth in Heritage Park on July 1, 2022 during Canada Day celebrations to learn more about the project and provide their feedback.
Survey participants were provided the opportunity to enter draws for e-bike and gift certificates, with the random draws occurring on August 23rd at the Peachland Community Centre. The e-bike prize was won by Lynda Grant of Peachland, and four other lucky survey participants who took home Outbound Cycle gift certificates. The survey contest was sponsored by Outbound Cycle and the Mayor’s Task Force on Climate Change.

As of this Fall the project team is reviewing all of the feedback received and has begun the process of drafting an Active Transportation Network Plan, for future consideration by Peachland Council.
