Subdivision

Everyone wanting to subdivide land in Peachland must get approval from the District of Peachland.

The Land Title Act requires all subdivision plans to be reviewed and either approved or rejected by the Approving Officer. This requirement is set out by the Municipal Act and the Land Titles Act.

In Peachland the Subdivision & Development Servicing Bylaw identifies a senior staff member to act as the Approving Officer and make all decisions regarding land subdivision. The intent of the review process is to ensure that your subdivision is a positive contribution to Peachland, as well as a benefit to you.

Applications for Subdivision Development Agreements and statutory right-of-way documents also require the approval of Council.
