Swim Bay - Summer 2022
Swim Bay features 140 metres of lifeguarded waterfront for 10 weeks each summer. The supervised area extends from the yacht club to the rope swing and features a high diving board, two floating docks, zipline and rope swing. Parent supervision is required for all children under 7 years old, regardless of ability, and is recommended for weak swimmers who are 7 or older. Life jackets may be borrowed during operational hours upon request pending availability; ask a lifeguard for assistance. Swim Bay also features a fully accessible aquatic wheelchair ramp, located at the north end of the beach, and an aquatic wheelchair which can be obtained from the lifeguards. Please ask a lifeguard for help if assistance is required when entering or exiting the water via the ramp.

Swimming Lessons
For information on the Red Cross Swim levels, click here.
Help your child develop a healthy lifestyle through swimming. Your child will learn to swim and stay safe in a fun environment that promotes a personal best and celebrates individual success. Our small class sizes in the beautiful Okanagan Lake make it an unique swim experience. Classes may be
re-organized to ensure that children are participating at the most appropriate skill level.
In the beginner levels, children will focus on water safety and on getting comfortable in the water, and will learn progressions that will lead to stroke development in the higher levels. As the children progress, they will learn other competitive and survival strokes while building their distance and speed. Children will also learn about making safe decisions in, on and around the water.
In each level, participants are evaluated based on performance criteria and progress to the next level once all criteria have been successfully completed.
