Peachland, B.C. – Pursuant to Section 254 of the Community Charter and Section 647 of the Local Government Act, notice is hereby given that the following properties will be subject to TAX SALE unless Delinquent Taxes, together with interest, are sooner paid.
The 2025 TAX SALE will be conducted in Council Chambers at the District of Peachland Community Centre, 4450 6th Street at 10:00 AM on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2025.
The District of Peachland makes no representation, express or implied, as to the condition or quality of the properties being offered for sale. Prospective purchasers are advised that it is their responsibility to make all necessary inquiries and search property title in advance to determine the existence of any bylaws, restrictions, charges or other conditions that may affect the value or suitability of the property. All properties are sold as is.

The Tax Sale is conducted as a live auction with the highest bidder being deemed as the “purchaser at tax sale”. Purchasers at Tax Sale will be required to provide their full name, address, occupation, and SIN number. The minimum bid is the upset price, which consists of the total of all taxes: delinquent, arrears, and current, together with penalties and interest thereon, plus 5% of the foregoing amount and Land Title Office fees.
Purchasers of tax sale properties should be aware that they will not have the right to receive title or possession until after a period of one year has elapsed following the date of sale. During the one-year period, the registered owner of the property or any person holding a registered charge may redeem the property by paying to the District the upset price with applicable interest, thus canceling the sale. Upon redemption, the purchaser at tax sale is refunded the amount paid together with interest, as provided in Section 660 of the Local Government Act.
The accepted bid price is due by 1:00 PM on the date of Tax Sale or properties will be put up for re-auction. ONLY CASH, CERTIFIED CHEQUES OR BANK DRAFTS WILL BE ACCEPTED AS PAYMENT. Properties not redeemed are subject to tax under the Property Transfer Tax Act on the fair market value of the property.
