Qualifications for Office:
- Canadian citizen; and
- 18 years of age or older on general voting day, March 14, 2026; and
- resident of BC for at least six months immediately before the day nomination papers are filed; and
- not disqualified under the Local Government Act or any other enactment from voting in an election in BC or from being nominated for, being elected to or holding the office, or be otherwise disqualified by law.
Nomination packages will be available at Municipal Hall during regular business hours starting January 7, 2026.

Voters in Peachland may choose to vote by mail ballot instead of voting in person. Mail ballot packages must be requested in advance and will be issued to eligible voters.
Applicants must apply as either a Resident Elector or Non-Resident Property Elector and meet the eligibility requirements for that category. Non-Resident Property Electors must also provide the required consent of registered property owners.
Voters are encouraged to review the Voter Information section for detailed eligibility requirements before submitting their request.
Completed mail-in ballots must be received by the Chief Election Officer no later than 8:00 PM on General Voting Day to be counted. Late or incomplete ballots cannot be accepted.
Electors will register at the time of voting.
Resident electors must produce two (2) pieces of identification (at least one with a signature). Picture identification is not necessary. The identification must prove both residency and identity.
Non-resident electors must produce two (2) pieces of identification (at least one with a signature) to prove identity, proof that they are entitled to register in relation to the property (ownership), and, if there is more than one owner of the property, written consent from the majority of the property owners.
At the time of voting, you will be required to make a declaration that you meet the following qualification requirements:
- 18 years of age or older on general voting day, March 14, 2026
- Canadian citizen
- Resident of BC for at least six (6) months before general voting day, March 14, 2026
- Current resident of Peachland, OR registered owner of real property in Peachland for at least 30 days days immediately preceding general voting day, March 14, 2026
- Not disqualified under the Local Government Act, any other enactment from voting in local elections or be otherwise disqualified by law.
Voting will take place on the following dates between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM at the Peachland Community Centre, 4450 6th Street, Peachland, BC
- Advance Voting Day - March 4, 2026
- Advance Voting Day - March 11, 2026
- General Voting Day - March 14, 2026
Every four (4) years the District of Peachland holds a Municipal Election where residents elect a Mayor and six (6) Councillors. In Peachland, Council members are elected at-large, which means the Mayor and Council represent the entire population. Peachland does not have a ward system, voters in town may choose up to six (6) candidates for Council, one (1) candidate for Mayor and one (1) School Trustee.
