BEACH RUN OR WALK - 2023

We are pleased to bring back our Beach Run/Walk this year! This is a chip timed run held in partnership with the Interior Running Association as part of their Road Race Series.

REGISTRATION FEES

***Please Note: The registration cutoff date for this event is Tuesday, June 27 at 4:00pm. Day of registrations will not be accepted.

Adult (13+) 5K or 3K

Before June 2: $25.00
June 3-16: $30.00
June 17-Jun 27: $35.00

Child (6-12 yrs) 5K or 3K

Before June 2: $15.00
June 3-16: $20.00
June 17-Jun 57: $25.00

RACE PACKAGE PICKUP:

Race packages will be available for pick-up in advance on Friday, June 30 at the Peachland Community Centre between 7:30-9 am and 3-4:30 pm, or on July 1 in Heritage Park from 6:15-7:00 am.

WAIVERS, INFORMED CONSENT AND PHOTO WAIVER FORMS:

Save time during race day registration; print out and complete your paperwork in advance!

Adults 19 years of age or older:

All participants who are 19 years old or older must complete a waiver prior to participating in the event. Paper copies of waivers/informed consent forms must be submitted in-person on race day. Blank forms will be available at check-in or you can save time by printing and filling in your forms at home.

Youth/children under 19 years of age:

Any participants who are 18 years old or younger must have a parent or legal guardian complete an Informed Consent form on their behalf. Paper copies of waivers/informed consent forms must be submitted in-person on race day. Blank forms will be available at check-in or you can save time by printing and filling in your forms at home.

All participants or parents/legal guardians of participants under 19 years of age must have their appropriate forms completed, signed, and submitted to the race package pick up station before they are permitted to pick up their race packages. Forms can either be printed out and completed prior to race day or completed at the event (copies will be made available at the race package pick up station).

ABOUT THE ROUTE:

3K Walk Route

Meet at Heritage Park (1st St & Beach Ave) for the 7:30 am race start.
Proceed along Beach Ave and the foreshore of Okanagan Lake. Keep to the lakeside of the road.
Make a U-turn at Beach Ave & 12th St.
Proceed along the lakeside of Beach Ave back towards the finish line at Heritage Park.

5K Run Route

Meet at Heritage Park (1st St & Beach Ave) for the 7:30 am race start.
Proceed along Beach Ave and the foreshore of Okanagan Lake. Keep to the lakeside of the road.
Turn left off Beach Ave onto 14th St.
Turn right onto Lake St.
Follow the curve back to San Clemente Ave.
Turn left onto 14th St.
Turn right onto Beach Ave.
Proceed along the lakeside of Beach Ave back towards the finish line at Heritage Park. Keep to the inside of the lane to allow space for any outbound racers still on the course.
