Polls will open 8 am at Peachland Community Centre

The first of two advance polls will take place Wednesday, March 4, for the District of Peachland By-Election to elect one councillor. Polls will open at 8 am and close at 8 pm at the Peachland Community Centre, 4450 6th Street. 

 

There is no need to pre-register to vote. Resident and Non-Resident Electors will register at the time of voting. Curbside voting will be available at the Community Centre for those who need this service.

 

Resident Electors must produce two pieces of identification, at least one with a signature. Picture identification is not necessary. The identification must prove both residency and identity.

 

Non-Resident Electors must produce two pieces of identification, at least one with a signature, to prove identity, proof that they are entitled to register in relation to the property (ownership), and, if there is more than one owner of the property, written consent from the majority of the property owners.

 

At the time of voting, all electors are required to declare they are the following:

 

  • 18 years of age or older on general voting day, March 14, 2026

  • a Canadian citizen,

  • a resident of BC for at least six (6) months before general voting day, March 14, 2026

  • a current resident of Peachland, or a registered owner of real property in Peachland for at least 30 days immediately preceding general voting day, March 14, 2026

  • Not disqualified under the Local Government Act, any other enactment from voting in local elections or be otherwise disqualified by law.

The second advance poll will take place on Wednesday, March 11, from 8 am to 8 pm at the Peachland Community Centre. General Election Day is Saturday, March 14, from 8 am to 8 pm at the Peachland Community Centre.
