Highstreet Breaking Ground on 89-Suite Redhaven Community in Peachland, Advancing Attainable and Sustainable Housing

July 8, 2026 – Highstreet is pleased to announce the groundbreaking of Redhaven, an 89-suite residential community that will bring much-needed housing to Peachland while advancing the company's commitment to attainable, sustainable, and community-focused living.

Currently planned as a purpose-built rental community, Redhaven has been designed with flexibility to respond to future market needs. Construction is now underway, with residents anticipating to move in by mid-2027.

Drawing on more than 20 years of experience developing, building, and operating communities across Western Canada, Highstreet is bringing its proven approach to quality, sustainability, and community experience to Peachland. The four-story community will be built to BC Energy Step Code 4, making it 100 percent electric and net-zero ready.

Redhaven will incorporate a range of sustainability and livability features, including high-performance building envelopes, solar panels on the roofs, EV-ready parking stalls, and thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces that encourage connection and well-being. The location also backs onto a creek with access to walking trails.

The project reflects a strong partnership between Highstreet and the District of Peachland, united by a shared goal of increasing housing supply while supporting the long-term growth and vitality of the community.

“Peachland is growing, and today’s groundbreaking is an exciting milestone in building the kind of community families want to call home. With new housing and a new childcare centre taking shape together, this neighbourhood is quickly becoming a vibrant hub for current and future residents. These investments are helping create a complete, connected community that will serve Peachland for generations to come.”

"Our experience working with the District of Peachland has been nothing short of exceptional," says Eric Delorme, Senior Development Manager with Highstreet. "Mayor and Council, together with District staff, have created a culture of collaboration, responsiveness, and problem-solving that has been instrumental in bringing this project forward. Their commitment to balancing thoughtful growth with community priorities makes Peachland a standout municipality in British Columbia and a place where developers can successfully partner to deliver much-needed housing."

As Peachland continues to grow, Redhaven represents an important investment in the community's future—delivering 89 new homes designed to provide comfort, connection, and long-term value for residents while contributing to a more sustainable built environment.
