Expect road closures and traffic impacts

The Peachland Classic Car Show returns this Sunday, May 17, bringing thousands of visitors and hundreds of stunning vehicles to Peachland’s waterfront. Motorists should plan for delays and road closures throughout the day as one of the community’s most popular annual events takes over Beach Avenue.

Hosted by the Peachland Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Peachland Wheel Nuts, the show runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine, with classic cars lining Beach Avenue from 1st Street to 6th Street. Admission is free and the event also features, delicious food vendors, scenic air tours and children’s inflatable fun area on Beach Avenue across from Swim Bay.

To accommodate the event, Beach Avenue will be closed from 1st Street to 6th Street, Waldo Way will operate as one-way south-to-north traffic, and the Beach Avenue Boat Launch will be closed for the day.

Visitors are encouraged to park along Clements Avenue, in the Peachland Elementary School lot, the IGA parking lot, in the vacant lot on 13th and San Clemente, along Beach avenue north of 13th Street all the way to Todd Road. A free shuttle service from Peachland Village Mall (IGA) to the show area will run from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM with stops along Beach Avenue at Todd Road, 14th Street, 13th Street and 6th Street.

Volunteer parking is available at the Peachland Community Centre, 4450 6th Street.

Accessible Parking is also available at the South end of Beach avenue along the sidewalk in front of the shops.

Traffic control personnel and volunteers will be on site throughout the event to assist motorists and pedestrians. Please park responsibly, as illegally parked vehicles may be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
