Removal required for snow clearing safety
The District of Peachland will be removing concrete barriers on Princeton Avenue to allow for safe movement of snow clearing vehicles.
The barriers were installed in the spring on Princeton Avenue between Turner and Lipsett Avenues on the lakeside of the roadway to improve pedestrian safety.
Work will take place on Thursday, December 18 and Friday, December 19 and motorists can expect some traffic disruptions and single lane alternating traffic on these days.
The installation of the barriers to improve safety for pedestrians was a pilot project in 2025 and its effectiveness will be evaluated in the spring.
