The next General Local Election will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026. During the election, Peachland voters will elect one Mayor and six Councillors to serve a four-year term.
Considering Running for Office?
Being an elected official is both rewarding and demanding. Council members are responsible for establishing policies, adopting bylaws, approving budgets, and setting strategic priorities for the community.
Before deciding to run, prospective candidates are encouraged to:
Attend Council meetings
Review Council agendas and minutes
Learn about current community priorities and issues
Understand the time commitment associated with serving on Council
Familiarize themselves with provincial election legislation and campaign finance rules
To help ensure nomination packages are complete and accurate, candidates are strongly encouraged to schedule a nomination package verification appointment with the Chief Election Officer prior to submission.
