The District of Peachland strives to offer inclusive recreation opportunities for people of all abilities. Please refer to the following for accessible district facilities and parks with features and amenities to accommodate individuals in wheelchairs or with mobility challenges.

Facilities

Community Centre:

• Designated handicap parking
• Street level access
• Automatic door openers
• Single level facility
• Wheelchair accessible washroom stalls
• Wheelchair accessible shower stalls
• Gender neutral, wheelchair accessible washroom
• Access ramp to fitness room

4th Street Place:

• Street level access
• Multi-level facility with indoor wheelchair ramp

Peachland Historic Primary School:

• Designated handicap parking
• Wheelchair/handicap lift for building access available by request (call bell located at front of building)
• Single-level facility
• Automatic door opener

Parks

Swim Bay:

• Aquatic wheelchair ramp
• Two aquatic wheelchairs available by request:
1. Pool access wheelchair - PVC and mesh materials
2. Mobi-Chair floating wheelchair - usable on non-paved surfaces; assistance required
• Wheelchair accessible docks (x2)
• Wheelchair accessible washrooms

Please ask the lifeguard on duty for access to wheelchairs.

Centennial Walkway:

• Fully paved pathway from Heritage Park to 13th Street

13th Street Viewpoint:

• Wheelchair accessible picnic area/viewpoint
