SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
Appointment of Chief Election Officer
Council appointed Jennifer Sawatzky, Director of Corporate Services, as the Chief Election Officer for the 2026 By-Election and 2026 General Local Election in Peachland. Karen Babin, Legislative Administrator, was also appointed as Deputy Chief Election Officer. A By-Election is anticipated to be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, to fill the seat left vacant by the death of Councillor Keith Thom in November. The General Local Election will be held on October 17, 2026.
