Upper Ponderosa Water Service Disruption
Precautionary Boil Water Notice
Peachland, B.C. – The District of Peachland and supporting contractors will be conducting repairs to a waterline affecting homes from 4603 Ponderosa Drive to the end of Ponderosa including 4630 and the cul-de-sac. The work will require a water shutdown and municipal water service will be impacted from Tuesday, September 23 from 8 am to 5 pm or until the work is complete.
Impacted properties are:
Ponderosa Drive; 4603, 4605, 4607, 4610, 4615, 4618, 4619, 4621, 4623, 4625, 4627, 4629, 4633, 4635, 4637, 4637(2), 4639
4630, 4630A Chateau on the Ridge; 40 residences
A Precautionary Boil Water Notice will be instituted for these properties at the start of repairs and continue until two consecutive water samples are tested and indicate the system is working appropriately.
Residents are asked to limit water usage during this time and should consider preparing for the service disruption by taking measures to protect hot water units or other plumbing installations against possible damage; the District is not liable for damage resulting from interrupted water service.
Any water drawn during the shutdown and immediately after repairs are complete could be contaminated. Once water service is restored, there may be air or sediment in the service lines; run cold water taps until conditions improve. If using water during the Boil Water Notice period, please bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using for drinking, making ice, cooking, washing food or brushing teeth.
