Roy Jantzen is an environmental educator, naturalist and author living in North Vancouver. His recent book, Wildlife Weekends, includes 18 pages on BEEPS and our amazing community of Peachland. The outings are described as day trips from Vancouver, however, most are also day trips from Peachland.
Please join BEEPS at Peachland Historic School, 5684 Beach Avenue, on Friday May 16 at 3:00 pm and hear of Roy’s experiences in nature.
Roy’s presentation is the kick-off to the Meadowlark Festival event, Go Batty in Peachland. Guerrilla gardening, seed bomb building, begins at 6:00pm and the Interpretive Trail Walk with biologist Tanya Luszcz is at 7:00 pm. Tanya will collect a bat roosting in the schoolhouse attic for an up close look once the sun has set. Help us count the schoolhouse bats at 9:00 pm as part of the BC Bat Watch Bat Counts. This is a fun family event. Check out Tour #15 in the Meadowlark Festival guide.
