|COVID-19 Recommendations remain in effect:|
NON-SURGICAL MASK REQUIREMENTS:
April 7, 2021
Following the Provincial Health Officer's guidelines, non-surgical masks must now be worn while participating in all indoor fitness and sports activities.
November 8, 2020
In light of Provincial Health recommendations, to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, non-medical masks covering the nose and mouth must be worn in all municipal facilities effective November 8, 2020.
Non-surgical masks are required when entering/exiting public facilities and when moving through shared spaces like lobbies, hallways, and washrooms. Masks are also required when 2m physical distancing cannot be maintained.
Non-surgical masks are not required where underlying health conditions prevent usage; where physical barriers are in place; or when participating in a static meeting that is in adherence with physical distance requirements.
The expectation that a mask will be worn by staff, the public, and contractors visiting a district facility is part of the enhanced safety protocol which already includes hand-sanitizing stations, physical distancing, directional signage, and traffic flow, plexiglass barriers, and reduced occupancy.
Masks will be provided to facility users for a limited time.
